FAQs

How do I know that my submission has gone through ok?

If you can log back in to the site and see your work in the "your submissions" then it has successfully been added to our database.

In essence; your log-in details only allow you to see your own work but our log-in details allow us to see all the work on the database.

Can I enter by post?

All entries this year should be made online. For us to manually upload 250 pieces of work last year and enter all the data into spread sheets etc was very time-consuming. By using an online method we have made the competition much more cost-effective.

What kind of work can be entered into the competition?

Any medium of work can be submitted provided the piece measures no more than 80cm at its largest point (including frame if applicable)

Who is entitled to concessionary entry?

A concessionary entrance fee is available for full time students, under 16s, unemployed, disabled and carers. We reserve the right to ask to see proof of the entrant’s entitlement to concessionary entry fees at any time during the competition.

Who will own the copyright for my entries?

By entering the competition you are simply granting us permission to use the digital image of your work following the exhibition for publicity and promotion, both on the internet and printed materials, the copyright remains with you. Please refer to the terms and conditions for full details.

Why has the entry fee been reduced this year?

The entry fee has been reduced this year to open the competition up to a wider audience and encourage more artists to take part.
